I go to the cinema fairly often but as many people are aware it is getting very expensive to go, what used to be a fairly cheap activity to do is now getting ridiculous. However I will explain one option that allows you to pay once a month fixed cost and allows to go go as much as you like.

There are in fact 2 different cinema’s that allow you to do this Odeon and cineworld. I am a member of the cineworld Unlimited, the cost is £17.40 a month or £19.90 if you include London West End, given the fact that to go to normal 2D screening at my local cineworld (Hull) actually costs £12.70 for an adult, then you only need to go twice in a month to get your money back.

With the cineworld card you also get discount off all the snacks they have at the cinema, 10% in the first year and if you stay on after 25% there after. Which again is a huge discount given that you can sometimes spend £10 on popcorn and a drink.

Cineworld card holders also get 25% discount at some food chains such as Frankie & Benny’s, Pizza Hut and Chiquito so an evening out with a meal and a movie can cost you even less! There are also local discounts for places around the cinema, such as Hollywood bowl at the Hull cinema and more discounts off restaurants and venues (e.g. Go ape, UK Paint balling) . The cinema also sometimes has previews for unlimited members where you get access to movies a week or more people general release. If you manage to get hold of a 2 for 1 voucher for the cinema as well such as Meerkat movies or similar, you can use a cineworld card with the voucher. This means that you can go both get in for free, great if you have a friend with an unlimited card.

The only problem with the card that I can find is that you need to sign up for 12 months. Which means that if you are moving around a lot and have no cineworld close by then you might be losing money.

If you’d like to sign up to cineworld Unlimited use this code at sign-up as it’ll give you a month free: RAF-71ZH-02FU-82SV-55UL
